Vehicle Overview
Holden’s WB Statesman, first seen in May 1980, was the only long-wheelbase prestige model in local history that didn’t share showroom space with the smaller sedan on which it was based.
Though related to the HQ model launched almost 10 years earlier, the WB Statesman had the purest Australian pedigree of its kind – owing nothing to an overseas platform and powered by an all-Aussie V8.
This example was tastefully modified to make the Caprice more LUXURIOUS.
The build was a labor of love by the current owner who runs a large panel shop with 8 staff over a 5 year period. He wanted to build something that was different yet luxurious.
This Custom Classic Caprice has now been on the road for over 2 years now, and has traveled over 4000klms, and still drives amazingly.
This WB Statesman is as follows:
- Car sits on self-leveling Air Ride,
- Leather and Suede trim with Embroidery,
- GPS speed with Speed Hut Cluster,
- Has Apple Car Play,
- 355 Come Racing Engine,
- 590 Come heads, twin throttle Come Racing Injection, Come racing crank, H beam rods, forged pistons, Scorpion rockers,
- T5 5 speed Gearbox
- Built 10 bolt 3.55 ratio posi differential
- Hoppers Stoppers Falcon brakes front and rear, to help accommodate clearance for the air ride,
- 3 piece FR 18 Simmons Wheels,
- All stainless has been de-chromed and hours of repairs and polishing by Carl Mills Stainless Steel Repairs,
- Bars re-chromed by Pacific Plating in Brisbane,
- Nsw Rego and Engineered,
- Still has it’s Original Holden Logbooks etc.
