GTS-R’s whilst being very rare (1/85, 10 in NZ) are appreciating in value and represent a fairly solid Muscle Car investment, especially when optimised.

HSV have informed us that approx only 15 or so GTS-R’s were ever ordered with the $10,500 Optimised Engine Option.

Please Note: This car did not leave the factory with the motor optimised but has supporting documentation to prove that the car returned to HSV to be upgraded at a later date.

• Set main and big end bearing clearances.
• Hone cylinder bloack and set piston clearances.
• Machine and square block faces.
• Set piston heights.
• Balance combustion chamber volumes.
• Set compression ratio to 8.85:1.
• Balance rods and pistons and dynamically balance crankshaft assembly.
• Re-cut valve seats with 3 angles.
• Grind and re-profile valves.
• Computer check all camshaft lobes for lift and duration.
• Time camshaft to optimum.
• Port cylinder heads and match inlet and exhaust manifold ports.
• Provide superflow and dynomometer data sheets.
• The engine is built using all new rings, bearings and gaskets.
